La salmonelosis es un tipo de intoxicación alimentaria causada por la bacteria salmonella.
Las bacterias de la salmonella por lo general viven en los intestinos de los animales y humanos y se expulsan a través de las heces. Los humanos se infectan con mayor frecuencia a través del agua o alimentos contaminados.
